Le Krewe Des Jeunes Amis

Le Krewe Des Jeunes Amis was established in 1996 with the idea that all children should be the King or Queen of their Krewe.  In 1997, the Krewe held its first annual Mardi Gras Ball.  Membership is limited to families proposed for membership by three member families and approved by the Board of Directors.  Children of member families participate in the annual Mardi Gras Ball, Mardi Gras Parade and other Krewe activities.  In order to participate in the Ball and/or Parade children must be at least two (2) years old but no older than fourteen (14) years at the time of the annual Ball.  Children in seventh (7th) or eighth (8th) grade who have not reached their fourteenth (14th) birthday at the time of the annual Ball may participate in the Royal Court as a King or Queen.  Our Krewe believes every child is a King or Queen.
